Great column. The data integration question is a big one that is still waiting to get an answer. I personally think that the BI world is slowly waking up to the WA one and will most probably want to integrate the Web data as part of the enterprise-wide data assets.
So, should WA vendors try to emulate the big BI ones and build similarly powerful applications? This would be risky (already a lot of competition), costly (WA applications are far from being as powerful as BI ones), and hard to sell, since BI/database/data warehouse vendors are deeply engaged with their accounts.
